With every step we take in the salon, we think about the planet. The brands we partner with and our practices within the salon place a huge emphasis on conserving our environment.
The ugly truth about the beauty industry is that we produce a ton of plastic and chemical waste that usually ends up in the landfill and our water sources. We’re committed to keep moving forward with making our salon as green as possible in an effort to reverse that trend.
How are we doing our part?
Violet Hair Lounge is a proud member of Green Circle Salons – “the beauty industry's pathway to sustainability”.
As a member, they help us recycle everything that comes into the salon, including hair, foil and unused hair colour. To learn more, check out the Green Circle Salons website.

KEVIN.MURPHY
Sound environmental practices are at the core of the KEVIN.MURPHY brand and product line. They are committed to the environment through a variety of eco-focused initiatives, creating “products with a conscience”. KEVIN.MURPHY is a cruelty-free company, and has pledged to never harm nor test on animals.
KEVIN.MURPHY bottles will soon be made from 100% recycled ocean plastics in an effort to create a circular supply chain. In doing so, they will be the first ever beauty brand to implement this practice, through which they project to save over 360 tons of new plastic each year.
These new recycled bottles will begin debuting globally in salons in mid-2019.

ECOHEADS Salon Showerheads
Our salon also features ECOHEADS salon showerheads on our shampoo bowls. ECOHEADS salon showerheads are eco-friendly, professional grade showerheads designed specifically for hair salons.
These taps not only filter the water from chlorine and sediment, they cut down 65% of water usage in one shampoo.

We love being able to make our salon even more environmentally friendly, and that’s why we’ve added Easydry towels to our arsenal!
Easydry is a next-generation, super-absorbent fabric that uses the latest technological innovations in textile design to create luxurious disposable towels and other products that are recyclable and biodegradable and which offer the highest possible levels of hygiene. Made using eco-friendly processes and without the use of chemicals, they provide a sustainable, convenient alternative to cotton towels and the relentless grind of laundering them.
