Chiaki grew up in Japan, trained there, and has spent more than 16 years building her craft between salons in Japan, Vancouver and Vancouver Island. That mix shows up in the chair: precise Japanese straightening and styling techniques, paired with an ease around every hair type that comes through the door, from fine and straight to thick and curly.
She starts with a real conversation before she touches a single strand, asking about the texture she's working with, how much time gets spent on hair most mornings, and what a client wants their style to say about them. Sixteen years across two countries taught her that technique on its own isn't enough — fit is what makes a style last. So she brings her Japanese training and her international experience together, and builds toward looks that work with a client's hair, their lifestyle, and who they are, not just for the day they leave her chair.
